Denise Hamilton

Owner

Denise Hamilton graduated in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in interior design from Cal State University, Long Beach. She began her commercial design career in 1983. Her first project spanned eight years as she planned and designed over 2 million square feet of high-rise office space for a large commercial developer. During that time, she also worked on various other commercial projects throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County area.

Denise established Denise Hamilton Interior Planning & Design in 1993 as she consistently received requests for her consultation on residential projects from her commercial clients. Over the last 24 years, she has built her residential practice solely on client referrals.

Today, Denise and her team not only strive to provide superior personal service and creative designs, but also take pride in continuing to nurture her lifelong client relationships.

Paula Mitchell

Project Manager

Paula Mitchell joined Denise Hamilton Designs in 2014 when Denise coaxed her out of retirement from a successful 40-year career in sales management and leadership at 3M Company, one of the most respected corporations in the world. Passionate about interior design and itching for a new challenge, Paula's move to Denise Hamilton Designs was a natural fit  Her business acumen, leadership experience and abundant energy are assets to the company.

Paula holds a bachelors degree in foreign languages from the University of California, Davis. She loves her family, animals, cooking, opera and classical music, art, and tracking down anything that Denise can serve up from a picture on the internet.

Paula's guiding design philosophy is, "trends come and go, but quality and good taste never go out of style."
